| | The Columbus Sharks Organization is a competitive, select baseball team representing Columbus, Ohio. The Sharks were founded in 1996 by Ken Maxwell, Sr. (manager), Joe Fryer, Bill Speaks and Kenny Maxwell, Jr. (coaches). These four were the coaches of the 1995 AAU National Champions from the previous year, and with most players returning, saw fit to reorganize under the Sharks name. The 1996 Sharks team, as 10 year olds, not only repeated as AAU National Champions, but also were the 1996 CABA World Series Champions, a feat never before or since accomplished in the same year. Over the years the Sharks have grown to represent Columbus and surrounding areas in age groups from 9 years old to 18 years old. The Sharks success is based upon a coaching philosophy of teaching the fundamentals and executing them to perfection.
Our MissionThe Columbus Shark coaches are dedicated to quality, championship baseball with a philosophy of building young men with character, discipline, motivation, and organization who understand the "team" concept. Through tough practices and hard work the Sharks become better people as well as better ball players.
